The best time is April to October. Spring (April–May) brings fresh green landscapes. Summer (June–August) is ideal for mountain sightseeing with pleasant temperatures in Swat. September and October offer clear skies and comfortable weather. We do not recommend this tour from November to March as Malam Jabba road can be affected by heavy snowfall.

Skiing at Malam Jabba is only available from December to February when there is sufficient snowfall. This tour operates from April to October when skiing is not available. However, the chairlift ride at Malam Jabba is available year-round and offers stunning views of the Hindu Kush mountains — an experience not to be missed.

For Islamabad, casual comfortable clothing is fine. For Swat Valley, bring a light to medium jacket as mountain evenings can be cool even in summer. Pack comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a personal first aid kit, a power bank, and sufficient cash as ATMs may be limited in Swat beyond Mingora city.
